In 2011, WISE Kid-Netic Energy won the Actua & GE Canada Award for Leadership and Innovation. This award was created in 1998 as a way to recognize member organizations that have best exemplified the Actua spirit of innovation over the past year.

All Girls Robot Fight Club

 

Registration for the 2020 Robot Fight Club will open in the fall. Check this page for updates.

The All-Girls Robot Fight Club is an opportunity to get in-depth experience coding and working with robots, with the end-goal of competing in the Manitoba Robot Games! The games offer a number of competitions, and WISE Kid-Netic Energy is excited to participate with teams of girls in the Lego Mindstorms category.

Membership in Robot Fight Club includes seven 4-hour sessions with University of Manitoba undergraduate student instructors, the registration fee for the Manitoba Robot Games, and the use of WISE Kid-Netic Energy's EV3 Lego Mindstorms for training and competing.

Last year we placed first, second and third in the Lego NXT/Mindstorm Autonomous category!

WHO: Grade 7-12 girls

WHERE: E2-210 EITC (Engineering Information Technology Complex) on UM's Fort Garry campus

WHEN: Saturdays, 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Jan. - Mar.

COST: $275
