Our Partnerships

WISE Kid-Netic Energy is a well-known youth oriented organization. Our activities and expertise are highly sought after and we like to get involved in our community. We often provide programming and trained staff for other organizations. We participate in various science and engineering events throughout Winnipeg and surrounding area. If you know a program that we can get involved with let us know!

Manitoba Aerospace

Every year WISE Kid-Netic Energy takes part in Manitoba Aerospace's AAIM (Aerospace & Aviation in Manitoba) Day. This event draws approximately 650 Grade 6 student participants annually. The day’s events include hands-on activities designed to reinforce the concepts students are learning in school as well as introducing students and teachers to the city’s thriving aerospace and aviation industries. WISE Kid-Netic Energy is a part of the organizing committee, and provides staff to help facilitate the event.

In addition, WISE Kid-Netic Energy helps to organize Manitoba Space Adventure Camp held annually on the Fort Garry UM campus. Manitoba Aerospace is a key partner in this exciting hands-on camp that introduces Grade 9-11 students to concepts like rocket building, tiny robot building, and skills such as soldering.

CAREER TREK

For several years, WISE Kid-Netic Energy has partnered with Career Trek to provide instructors for the engineering portion of their World of Work program. We have also aided in the development of the science and engineering curriculum used by the program.  In addition, WISE Kid-Netic Energy has been involved with Career Trek’s ‘M’ Project.

CAN U

WISE Kid-Netic Energy delivers subsidized programming for the science and engineering portions of Can U.

MSSS (Manitoba Schools Science Syposium)

The Manitoba Schools Science Symposium (MSSS) is the largest annual science event held for students throughout Manitoba. MSSS is held the final week of April at the University of Manitoba and is open to all students from Grade 4-12.

Each year, some 550 young scientists attend MSSS to present their research to top scientists and industry experts. The student participants can present their work in nine divisions and four age categories for medals, specials awards, scholarships, program enrolments and trips worth over $30,000.

WISE Kid-Netic Energy provides 10 awards in a number of categories. Typically these awards include free admission to one of our camps.

Manitoba Children’s Museum

WISE Kid-Netic Energy has partnered with Manitoba Children’s Museum to deliver programming for their STEAM club which offers after school programming to youth through their Free2Play Access Program.
