registration for 2024 Robot Fight Club is now OPEN

The Robot Fight Club is an opportunity to get in-depth experience coding and working with robots!

Membership in Robot Fight Club includes sessions with University of Manitoba undergraduate student instructors and the use of WISE Kid-Netic Energy's Lego Mindstorm Inventor robots and tablets/laptops.

details:

Who: Girls* in grades 7-12.
Where: In the EITC (Engineering Information Technology Complex) building at the University of Manitoba Fort Garry campus.
When: Club meets weekly on Saturdays from 1:00 - 4:00 pm.

January 27, 2024
February 3, 2024
February 10, 2024
February 24, 2024
March 2, 2024
March 9, 2024
March 16, 2024

*No session on February 17, 2024
Note:
In the past, the participants in Robot Fight Club have participated in the Manitoba Robot Games. This year (2024), the Manitoba Robot Games are postponed and will not be happening. We still look forward to having our Robot Fight Club on campus, where participants can learn to code in a supportive environment and participate in various coding and robotics challenges together!


registration:

Registrants pay a $50 deposit to participate in the Robot Fight Club sessions. Upon completion of the Robot Fight Club the $50 deposit will be returned to participants.

Bursaries are available for those in need of financial assistance with the cost of the deposit. If registering for the club is cost-prohibitive, please click here for more information on bursary applications.
